Jacqueline Coke-Lloyd

Jacqueline Coke-Lloyd is the Principal Director of Make Your Mark Consultants. She is responsible for the general management and direction of the partnership.

Mrs. Coke-Lloyd was previously employed to the Jamaica Employers’ Federation (JEF) from 1998 to September 2008 where she served as the Chief Executive Officer.

Mrs. Coke-Lloyd has served on the following Boards and Committees, some of which were created during her administration at JEF:

  • National Housing Trust (NHT)
  • University of Technology Council (UTECH) – current member
  • Jamaica Productivity Centre (JPC)
  • Young Entrepreneurs Association (YEA)
  • Jamaica Youth Employment Network (JYEN)
  • Jamaica Business Council on HIV/AIDS (JaBCHA)
  • National Council on Technical Vocational Education and Training (NCTVET)
  • The National Labour Advisory Committee (LAC)

She has also served on International boards of the:

  • Caribbean Employers’ Confederation (CEC)
  • Caribbean Employers representative to the Governing Body (Board) of the International Labour Organization (I.L.O)
  • Employer Representative to the Business Technical Advisory Committee on Labour Matters (CEATAL) of the Organization of American States (OAS)

These organizations are responsible for representing employers internationally on social and economic issues.

  • Mrs. Coke-Lloyd has introduced and launched the Employers’ Care programme. This serves to foster inner city renewal, and seeks to enhance employers’ involvement in national development.

    • She has served as an advisor to the Women Business Owners Association of Jamaica and is a member of the Women’s Leadership Initiative and is the Charter President for the first all Female Optimist Club in the Caribbean.

    • Mrs. Lloyd has given of her time to many charitable projects. During her presidency of the Optimist Club of Barbican Pines, she spearheaded the adoption of the Shortwood Basic School, and the National Children’s’ Home (The Tegwyn Unit).

    • In addition, she continues to work with the Matthew 25:40 home for children living with HIV/AIDS.

    • Mrs. Coke-Lloyd is a graduate of the University of Technology, Jamaica and the International Training Centre of the International Labour Organization (ILO), Turin Italy.

    • She is the first female and Caribbean representative to chair the Election of the Employers for the ILO Governing Body.

    • She is the first female to be nominated to represent the Caribbean on the Governing Body (Board) of the ILO.

    • She is the first female and Jamaican to be nominated to the Business Technical Advisory Committee on Labour Matters (CEATAL) of the Organization of American States (OAS)

    • She is the first Chief Executive Officer of JEF to address the United Nations Council.

    • She is the first Chief Executive Officer of JEF to address the Inter –American Development Bank Business Forum.

                                                                                        

Major Evon Lloyd Sr is an accomplished educator having served the Secondary School System in Jamaica for over ten years.  He has taught Chemistry, Zoology, Biology, and served as Head of the Chemistry and Science Departments at Mannings and Manchester High Schools.  He has had tremendous success over 90% pass from all his students at the O and A Levels, and CSES Levels.  He was also a tutor at the UWI Department of Chemistry.

Major Evon Lloyd Sr. has over twenty-five (25) years experience in marketing, scientific research, brand management and the promotion of products and services.

He joined the staff of GraceKennedy and Company Ltd. in 1983 in the capacity of Brand Manager, Hotel Division. During his stay at GraceKennedy, he was credited for establishing GraceKennedy’s Wine & Spirits portfolio chiefly among the hospitality industry.

On leaving GraceKennedy, he moved to Wray & Nephew Ja. Ltd. where he joined the staff as a Marketing Executive. He was successful in expanding Wray & Nephew’s dominance in the wine and spirits category in Jamaica. During his tenure, Major Lloyd successfully launched and established a number of products under the “Appleton” brand.

In 1993, he later moved on to Allied Colloids, the United Kingdom based specialty chemical company where he was appointed Regional Manager, Marketing and Technical Operations (Caribbean).

Major Lloyd served Allied Colloids with distinction having developed and established their range of specialty chemicals in the bauxite/aluminium industry in the region.

After the merge of Allied Colloids with the Swiss based Ciba Specialty Chemicals, he continued to serve the company in the same capacity expanding his area of responsibility to sections of South America.

In 2005, Major Lloyd left CIBA to form his family-owned company Process Technology & Solutions Limited (PTSL) where he continues to serve in the capacity of President and Chief Executive Officer.

During his civilian exploits, Major Lloyd had the distinction of excelling in a parallel career in the Jamaica Military (National Reserves). He rose to the rank of Major and was appointed second in command for the Reserve Battalion.

Major Lloyd is a graduate of the University of the West Indies in Chemistry and Biochemistry. He holds a Diploma in Business Administration; a post-graduate Diploma in Education and a Masters Degree in Business Administration.
